Get my money right...

So, I've officially changed my program from the PhD to the DBA. I hope this expedites the process, I am mentally drained and just want it DONE! As I switched programs, they quoted me 4x's the normal tuition, I should get this all squared away and be able to move forward on my journey.

In addition, I've changed my survey tool and will now have to redistribute. It's pretty discouraging but part of the process. The tool is actually easier and may save me hundreds of dollars from the previous. I'd be willing to pay to get this thing over with and move on with my life. All in all, it is what it is and I'm still fighting the good fight!

Back on the Pony

One of my buddies posted today how he completed his JD (Juris Doctor) and it kind of motivated me to try at this one more time. I really feel as if I got a bum deal and have requested a financial relief as I change from the traditional PhD to the DBA program. I've lost so much fire and the obstacles before me have really discouraged me. I put back on my studying glasses and popped open the energy drink, let's see if I can get this party started.

Early morning tomorrow and may be a late night tonight. This is how I used to get it done before, let's see if this is how I will get it done now!

Frustration Continues

The complexity of a dissertation and the process that's required only a few understand. The online platform provides little real-world assistance or support. You don't have the traditional classroom set-up which provides an environment to reach out to your neighbor, touch your instructor, or sit down and look another person in the eye that feels what you feel. I'm pretty frustrated hoping that it will all go away...I planned that this would have already been done..years ago...sealed...complete..and moving forward in life.

I seriously consider quitting daily, constantly. There is so much to do and consider and prepare and coordinate...I don't know if I can or if I'm willing to tread this water. Daily I hope that the new day will create new "juices" but all it does is reflect another day of reflection with no progress. My frustration continues...

Back to the Drawing Board

So after all these years all this time making it up to the end of this journey, I discover that I've made a mistake in the selection of my tool. One that renders the entire study invalid if I continue. Why was this not discovered, why was this not caught, who is supposed to be guiding me on this journey? I'm filing a formal complaint but ethically I can't continue in the same manner as before. So, to start the dissertation over? Ugh, that's vicious and I'm definitely not looking forward to it at all but I've spent alot of time and money. My next mission will be to skew my study which meets the proper requirements...eh, we will see...

Book of Sadiq

**Validation and Perception**

Book of Sadiq: Proverb 21

We all seek validation through others. This validation is sought personally and professionally. True validation is internal to oneself. This validity derives from constant self-analysis, self-reflection, and of course self-revalidation.

Explanation of Proverb:
OTHERS will often tell you who YOU are as a person but only YOU have the ABILITY to understand who you truly are and how to best improve yourself. Take note of the good as well as the bad and try to be better each day.

Back to the Future? Really?

So after years and years and years of going through this process, I get a new dedicated adviser claiming that my last adviser was crazy and she would help me complete this thing. Within a few weeks it went from..
"I reviewed your paper and we are going to get this done"
to
"I think you should change your study to focus on gender differences"
to
"I don't know how confident I am in this study I think you need to pursue a DBA"
to
"I think we need to relook at the whole dissertation and how we got here"

What the H#ll?? I swear sometimes, Soooo, now I'm in the process of putting together a formal complaint with the school and the accreditation commission. We will see where that goes, so for the last few hours, I've been creating a timeline to show how we got here and I'm not crazy!!  I can't believe how much time, energy, money, and the extent of sacrifice I've put into this...sigh..

And yet this is life, back to the lab!!

Oral Defense

Tonight's a late night, yet another long journey possibly going to reap nothing. I'm working on my oral presentation but I don't have much faith in the approval of the dissertation. Years and years of work and thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Oh well, lets go get it!

PMP?? Project Management Professionale

As the constant struggle, battle, WAR continues for my final dissertation approval, I have began my pursuit of the PMP, 1 week course2 thick books, charts, graphs, website, software, etc...are all used as my tools of study.

PMP Cert is for project management professionals with a bachelors or greater, 3 years project experience, and 4,500 hours of leading and directing projects (documented). I'll have to make it through this class and also pass a 2 hour crucial exam. The exam is so bad that the standard for passing it is ONLY 61%...uh..yeah, yikes. So, no more time to waste, lets see how this pans out.

*Dissertation update

The process has been so discouraging that my school adviser has decided to resign from the school, what does that say for me, who knows, who knows, yet another struggle, yet another challenge..

New Year, same challenge

I submitted my paper in 2012 and it's 2013 with new changes; I've been at this since 2006-2007 and it's wearing on me but I've had a good break, so I'm back at my grind, not ready to quit. All my changes are minor now but still need to be done. So before I go back to work, I'll dedicate time now to fight for another submission. They will not wait on me, I'll be waiting on them.

I'm trying to work on my prioritization this year. It used to be so solid...now...yeah...I'm still at it!
